James Honored by Cleveland Touchdown Club

PAINESVILLE, OHIO – Lake Erie College senior receiver Brandon James (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) was named the team's most valuable player by the Cleveland Touchdown Club Charities, Inc. and will be recognized at the organization's 64th annual awards banquet on Saturday, March 3.

James set school single season records, capping his outstanding two-sport career at Lake Erie, with 72 receptions for 879 yards and caught four touchdown passes. He had three 100-yard receiving games during the season and was named to the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Second Team and OhioCollegeFootball.com All-Ohio FCS/NCAA II First-Team as well as being selected as an East Coast Conference All-Star.

The Cleveland Touchdown Club Charities annual present awards to the top players and coaches in Northeast Ohio at the professional, collegiate and high school levels. The annual dinner will be held at Baldwin-Wallace College's Strosacker College Union in Berea, Ohio.

West Virginia University Athletic Director Oliver Luck, former NFL quarterback and father of Andrew Luck, the expected top pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, will be the featured speaker.
